Inox Leisure Ltd informed Bombay Stock Exchange that the multiplex chain has started his operation at Mantri Square mall, Bengaluru from April 24, 2010.
Last month, Cinemax opened its four-screen multiplex in Thane. Currently, Inox has 32 multiplexes and 119 screens in 23 cities across India, excluding the new screems at Mantri Square mall.
Inox Leisure is facing a takeover battle from the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and is to announce the revised schedule for the acquisition of an additional 20 per cent stake in Fame India after getting the approval of Security and Exchange Board of India. However, it has made an open offer to acquire up to 82.31 lakh equity shares, representing 20 per cent stake in Fame India, at a price of Rs.51 per share.
