Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd., one of India’s largest retailers, formed a 50:50 joint venture (JV) with the UK-based C&J Clark International. The JV would also engage in wholesaling of Clark’s branded products in India.
C&J Clark is one of the largest makers of casual shoes in the world, manufacturing brands like Clarks, Bostonian and K Shoes for men, women and children.
A Pantaloon Retail spokesperson confirmed the news but refused to share details about the development.
