Tesco Hindustan Service Centre (Tesco HSC), a Bangalore-based shared services centre for Tesco, the world’s third largest retailer, has announced the appointment of Dayanand Allapur as head of human resources. Allapur will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, including business partnering, talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development.
Sandeep Dhar, CEO, Tesco HSC, says, “Allapur joins us at a stage when we are scaling up and deepening our support for Tesco globally. His diverse experience across industries and geographies in the HR domain will be extremely useful for us to achieve these goals.”
Allapur brings with him over 20 years of a well-rounded global experience in human resources, having lived and worked in the UK, Australia, the US and India. His last role before joining Tesco HSC was with Patni Americas Inc as vice-president and head of human resources, based out of Boston.
