Guru Shoe Tech Pvt Ltd (GSTPL), manufacturers of ‘Valentino’ and ‘West Port’ brands of shoes, has forayed into retail with its first store opening in Agra. Spread over an area of 2,000 sq.ft, the store at Fatehabad Road will be a one-stop shop for shoe lovers who are in search of good quality and international standard products, says the company.
On the launch of the store, Chandra Daultani, director, GSTPL, said, “Initially, we were into manufacturing. We introduced ‘Valentino’, formal leather shoes for men, trusted for real customised value. After a great success in formal shoes, we introduced ‘West Port’, which comes in the casual footwear category. As we felt the need for a place where customers could get all designs and types of shoes under one roof, we are opening our first outlet in the city.”
The company, which has widespread presence in the MBO format across the country, plans to open more retail outlets next year. “We plan to open 25 outlets by the end of FY 2012,” Daultani said.
