Timex forays into e-commerce, launches first web store

Timex Group India has launched its first web store in India for its brand Helix offering around 100 SKUs. The online store offers watch collections for the youth designed by Giorgio Galli in Milan.

Commenting on the move, VD Wadhwa, CEO and MD, Timex Group India, said: “As the digital movement gains further momentum and impacts every aspect of the way business is transacted, it was imperative for us to stay ahead of the curve and make ourselves visible and accessible across all retail and digital formats. With the launch of Helix web store, we hope to cater to a segment of our target audience who prefer the convenience of shopping online for personal accessories like time-wear. The new web store provides a rich, fulfilling user experience and I am confident that this initiative will provide an added momentum to customer engagement with the brand as well as have a positive impact on sales.”

According to the company officials, the website will also get integrated with the soon-to-be launched Timex India website.

Timex Group claims to be the world’s largest watch maker. Founded in 1854, the company has several brands such as Timex, Marc Ecko, Nautica, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Helix, and Tarun Tahiliani. The Group has a design centre based out of Milan and a manufacturing base spread across various countries.
