After the highly successful run of “The Great India Place” (TGIP), Noida, Unitech and Collage Group – in unison – are coming up with two new projects in Dehradun and Bhopal. The new malls will be launched under the banner of “The Great India Place.” These are expected to be one of the biggest retail projects in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. While TGIP Bhopal is already under construction, the project in Dehradun will start in October, 2011. Both TGIPs are expected to be operational by 2014.
“TGIP in Bhopal spreads across a built up area of approximately 7,00,000 sq.ft. with a gross leasable area (GLA) of 6,70,000 sq.ft. It will be positioned as an ‘all-under-one-roof’ retail and entertainment destination on Kolar Road in Bhopal. The mall will have a 600-foot frontage inside Unihomes – a 35-acres development with 1,400 residential flats,” informed Vivek Srivastava, Director Marketing, Collage Group.
The complex will have four floors with two basements for car parking. The lower ground floor will have value retail units and the ground and first floors will have retail stores. The second floor will be completely dedicated to food court spreading across 30,000 sq.ft. area and multiplex in approx 40,000 sq.ft. area of FEC, which will also include a bowing alley and a gaming zone. The mall will also boast of an indoor amusement park spread across 70,000 sq ft area.
TGIP, Dehradun will be located at a picturesque location of Shahastradhara Road. It will have a GLA of approx 4,40,000 sq.ft. The mall will have ground, upper ground, first and second floors. There will be no lower ground floor and basement. The second floor again will be dedicated primarily to FEC. The premises will have three levels of underground parking to accommodate around 250 cars.
“TGIP, Bhopal is going to be a first-of-its-kind retail development not only in the city but also in entire Madhya Pradesh. TGIP, Dehradun, unlike TGIP Bhopal and Noida, will be a conventional mall, but relatively on a smaller scale,” said Srivastava.
