Established in 1979, the Hair and Beauty Academy (HABA) is a flagship salon and academy of beauty industry veteran Shahnaz Hussain who is also known to the herbal legend. The academy was conceptualised and established by Zabin Abbas and Manisha Somjee in partnership. The academy is accredited by City & Guilds, London, an award giving body for international qualifications in hairdressing and beauty therapy in 2010. Seeing the continuous growth and scope in the beauty and wellness industry for young enthusiasts, HABA has expanded to add the Spa Academy under its umbrella and now provides professional training in spa therapies and Ayurveda treatments, as well. The academy has also bagged affiliation from ITEC London, a leading international specialist examination board, providing quality qualifications in Beauty and Spa Therapy, Hairdressing and Complementary Therapies. HABA is also a member of Indian Spa And Wellness Association (ISWA).
Courses
HABA offers advance courses for spa managers or therapists with two to three years of experience. The academy also has diploma courses in Spa and Salon Management. It also offer various diploma courses in hairdressing, beauty and skin therapy and make-up. They also offers some courses from Manipal City and Guilds, London. Even the candidate who wants to register for ITEC Fast Track Course for Theory Exam, can enroll at HABA and submit their assignment at the ITEC Center in Ahemdabad, Gujarat to get admission in the course.
Eligibility
For international courses, the students must be 12th pass and for other diploma courses, the eligibility is 10th pass.
Fees
The course fee is `12,500 onwards.
