Aptech collaborates with Flipkart to train sellers

The global IT training and education education company, Aptech Ltd, has announced its partnership with Flipkart to provide skill-building programs to train the latter’s sellers in upgrading their proficiency that will allow them to excel in the e-retail business. Aptech will be providing this training in Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, among 25 other cities.
Elucidating details of this tie-up, Pravir Arora, EVP and head of Enterprise Business of Aptech Ltd says, “With our customised training course for Flipkart, we aim to provide skilled sellers for Flipkart marketplace. The partnership between Aptech and Flipkart will ensure that sellers are prepared for an increased customer base and can readily provide them with the best services to ensure their satisfaction. Improvement in areas of customer servicing is one of the ways to ensure that the sellers thrive in the competitive pool of the e-commerce industry.”
Owing to its reach and training facilities, Aptech plans to train sellers in areas such as the functioning of the market place, cataloguing, order management, promotion of products and providing quality service to customers. With this training, Flipkart is expected to bring on board over one lakh trained sellers by the end of this year.
Commenting on this partnership, Manish Maheshwari, VP & Head – Seller Ecosystem, Flipkart says, “As India’s largest e-commerce marketplace, our focus is to enhance our sellers’ abilities across the country and facilitate their growth. Our partnership with Aptech will empower our sellers with the required skills to expand their online business and cater to the demand for a wider set of customers.”
According to a report by ASSOCHAM and PwC, the Indian e-commerce industry is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 35 per cent and cross the $100-billion mark in terms of value by the end of the next five years. With a growing population that has access to the internet, improved infrastructure and logistics, the number of consumers that make purchases online is predicted to increase substantially.
