An e-commerce portal to sell famous brands of Pashmina products has been launched to boost global sale of this hand-woven fabric. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Hussain Samoon launched the e-commerce portal, www.phamb.co.in, for Pashmina products on Friday.
“The main aim of the e-portal is to sell 200 elite brands of Pashmina products throughout the world. We have introduced Pashmina blazers, trousers, shirts, handkerchiefs, mufflers and other items,” CEO PHAMB business house, Junaid Shahdar was quoted by PTI as saying.
Samoon stressed the need for maintaining the product quality and bringing packaging at par with international standards so Kashmiri Pashmina products have greater acceptability globally.
“Our youth have to come up with creative and novel ideas so that the handicraft industry of the state gets recognition across the world,” he said.
