After more than a decade of excellence the Garuda Mall in Bengaluru continues to raise the bar higher year after year. The mall has been touted as one of India’s most successful and iconic malls, since its inception 11 years ago. The glittering retail space is spread over 3,00,000 sq.ft. with a total built up area of 7,50,000 sq.ft.
The mall went through an award-winning total refurbishment about a year ago where the interiors, exteriors, lighting, zoning and mainly brand mix were churned and innovated to serve the evolving consumer aspirations.
The ground floor the mall houses luxury and premium brands, while the first floor is where one can find men-related brands, electronics, gifting and accessory brands. The second floor is the ladies and kids’ brands’ zone, the third floor is the entertainment and food court area and finally the fourth and fifth floors contain restaurants as well as the multiplex.
Forever 21 opened its first outlet down South in Garuda mall and created a record based on sales per sq.ft.. The brand is consistently on top in weekly and monthly sales and is in the fifth position in the world as far as sales and growth figures per sq.ft. are concerned.
Shoppers Stop too has renovated its store and the outlet is the brand’s best performing store in South India.
The mall gets about 50,000 footfalls on weekdays while the weekends see more than 1,00,000 people thronging it, with an average sales of around Rs 2,100 per sq.ft. including F&B, multiplex and entertainment.
