InnerChef to deliver biryanis, kebabs from across India at your doorstep

Must Read

Over 50 different types of biryanis and kebabs from all over the country can now be relished in the comfort of one’s home, with the launch of Biryani and Kebabs Marketplace by InnerChef, a city based digital food start-up.
According to a PTI report: The initiative which was unveiled in seven Indian cities, features a wide array of choices – while biryanis range from Zafarani and Lucknowi to Dum and Hyderabadi, kebabs have an equally impressive range of options like burras, reshmi, galouti and seekh.
Like most items on the Inner Chef menu, these too are priced between Rs 150 and Rs 300 and are delivered right at the doorstep in all the seven cities – Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.
“Biryanis and kebabs are universally popular and add up to an estimated $2 billion market in India. This launch not only makes InnerChef the ultimate destination to enjoy the best biryanis and kebabs, but also brings us closer to delivering a comprehensive food experience on this platform,” Co-founder, InnerChef, Rajesh Sawhney was quoted by PTI as saying.
The biryani and kebab platters have been curated by top 20 chefs and home entrepreneurs from across India including Chef Gul Ali, Chef Alagu Raj, Chef Kulsum, Chef Nafisa Kapadia, Chef Shahla Ahmed and Chef Kaushik Roy among others.
“We believe that great biryanis and kebabs are made by chefs who have already built their reputation and are well-known among local communities,” Sawhney was further quoted by PTI as saying.
The Mughlai Chicken Biryani on the menu by Chef Ali is a Lucknowi style biryani that uses almost a century old recipe that the chef inherited from her great grandfather.
According to Inner Chef, even though they have vegetarian alternatives in the section, chicken and meat based items are evidently more popular.
Some of the other items on the list include Nizami Chicken Dum Biryani, Shahi Chicken Dum Biryani, Lucknowi Mutton Dum Biryani and Zafrani Mutton Dum Biryani.
Besides the tempting menu, the brand has consciously worked on the plating and packaging and substitute the conventional dine-in experience with an out-of-the-box one.
The brand has used specially designed packaging for the out-of-the-box biryani eating experience. All biryanis come with accompaniments like onion salad, salan (gravy), raita (yogurt-based side dish) and InnerChef’s signature heart-shaped cookies.
“With the launch of this vertical and unique marketplace at dish level, we believe that we are creating a better consumer experience than any of the restaurant aggregators,” Sawhney was further quoted by PTI as saying.
Innerchef said that they plan to continue adding more value combos and varieties in biryanis and kebabs in the future.
