Designer Rajdeep Ranawat will be introducing this new The Palace – spring summer 2017 collection at Amazon India Fashion Week, SS’ 17. This collection is inspired by palaces of India and the designer has explored the state of Rajasthan for its palaces and forts to create this new collection.
Exploring and capturing the surviving motifs and elegant colour schemes from the palaces and forts, Rajdeep Ranawat will offer a fresh take on the vintage wall arts of The palaces. His collection is an amalgamation of the old design with a twist of the very modern applications.
Designer Rajdeep Ranawat says; “Being a Rajput my roots lie within the beauty of the State, thus I wanted to portray its art and culture in the form of contemporary and modern following the trend palette and silhouettes of the contemporary women. Silhouettes used in the collection are shirts, bohemian tops, tunics, resort kaftans, palazzo pants, slim skirts, jump suits, dresses and a range of scarves and stoles to complete the look”.
The collection has been split into multiple themes based on the usage of various motifs and colours and named after the six heritage cities of Rajasthan; that are Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Samode and Jaipur.
Rich silk based fabrics, embellished with genuine crystal from Swarovski compliment the design elegance of The Palace and assist each garment in narrating a story of their own, as they mesmerise you into a time where kings, kingdom and a very colourful culture thrived.
