Good Earth, which has several outlets in India and one in Ankara, Turkey, has come out with a new line of home design collection inspired by stories that connect India and China.
‘Shambala’, the annual collection 2016-17, adds an oriental flavour to the home with a colour palette of imperial jades, serene blue and whites enhanced with rich vintage gold.
Each year, Good Earth brings in a new line. “The Himalayas are a link between the two great civilisations of India and China that have been connected with each other through religion, philosophy and myths over millennia. Shambala is a take on the Far East,” said Founder, Good Earth, Anita Lal.
The design translates the myths, motifs and metaphors of the Far East into china and fabrics through the textile crafts of hand-weaving, block printing, gold leaf stencils and silk embroidery.
